A FIRST AGM FOR THE F30 JK CLASS!
Hello everyone,
We are pleased to announce that the first Annual General Meeting of the First JK 30 Class will be held on Saturday, 3rd December, 2011 at the Paris Boat Show.
For all those concerned, the meeting place is under the hull of the First 30, at 11 a.m.!
And for a preview of what this "AGM" will be about, here are the topics that will be discussed:
- General and financial reports
- Election of officers
- How the website works
- Member activities
- Review of trip to La Rochelle
- Outlook for 2012
Of course, if you wish see other items on the agenda; you may notify the President of the Class, Jean-Gilles Marcelo, by sending an e-mail to the following address: jg.marcelo@wanadoo.fr
For those of you, who, unfortunately, are unavailable, you will find a delegation of powers to fill in attached. This is important to ensure that the elections run smoothly.
Last of all, the First 30 JK Class is impatiently waiting for volunteers to occupy the role of the association’s secretary.
If you are interested, please make yourself known, by sending an e-mail to the President: jg.marcelo@wanadoo.fr
See you soon!

I signed up to get the newsletter as soon as it started expecting a slew of new information every week but received very little and no new pictures at the official Beneteau website. When x-35 was launched every week there were new pictures
or texts on how to trim the boat etc. The boat is great but it needs more attention
to build the class some one design rules are needed, like the x-35. In some places the boat is raced with gennaker in other with symetric spinnaker. The people who are drawn to the class are people that come from j-24-22, Star etc that want some comforts with dinghy feel and they don’t want to spend a fortune on sail inventory.
I think that most of us who have had the chance to sail the boat would agree that
simplest way to launch first 30 as a strict one design would be to only allow 3 sails
main, genoa(roller genoa) and gennaker and that’s also how the boat should be sold and all of us should be taking pictures all the time to show how much fun this boat is to sail/race and download to official sight for everybody to see. Follow in the footsteps of how x-boats launced and marketed the x-35.

Good evening Mats,
We take into account your comments.
However, we unfortunately don’t have as an objective to modify the keel soon.
Sincerely yours
