From snow to sun

Covered in a thick layer of snow during the Nautic Boat Show in Paris, the new First 30 is now sailing the seas thanks to its owner, Stéphane BOUILLON!
Formerly owner of two First 31.7s, Stéphane wanted to change his boat. His requirements were that it had to be a comfortable cruiser for training purposes, high-performing during regattas, and suitable for chartering.
Based on Stéphane’s first impressions during the winter training sessions organized by his sailing club, he seems to have pulled this off!

 

 

 

“In the presence of Sylvain PELISSIER, who designed the sails, we were mainly there to confirm our choices and get to grips with the first tunings.
After a return trip to HOUAT, sailing round the ‘La Vieille’ (rock), we held out in real time to a large Soleil 37 and two JPK 960s.
The boat responds well and the speed potential is there. I feel a change of class in relation to my old 31.7! The real time performance is really surprising and I’m delighted. The new F30 is easy to handle, extremely well balanced, very tolerant, and with regard to performance, we’re going to have a ball!
I do not regret my choice. She exceeds all my hopes and specifications. She’s super!”

Stéphane does not intend to stick to tests! Among other events, the boat will take part in the ‘Course des îles’ single-handed and in the ‘Grand Prix de Crouesty’. She may be chartered and will be used for training.
Stéphane has tried her out and seems to have adopted her!
